    http://www.towerofbabel.com, the multilingual, multicultural online journal and community of arts and ideas, is seeking experienced business-minded individuals interested in turning one part of the company into an online translation agency. Presently, the company is without funding and currently features content in Basque, Brazilian Portuguese, Bulgarian, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Glosa, Greek, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Luxembourgish, Mandarin Chinese, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Slovenian, Spanish, Swedish, Swiss French, Swiss German, Tagalog, Turkish, and Ukrainian (with Arabic and Hebrew soon to come). We currently have 150 translators representing 35 of the world's languages who have agreed to work for us pro bono, with the resumes of another 100 translators who would work for us when we attract funding. Each one translating into only their native language to maintain the highest quality, and bearing either certification from translation schools and/or bachelors, masters and doctorate degrees in linguistics, as well as previous work and references from companies they've worked for all over the planet.     In response to popular demand for teaching short-term in China this summer, the U.S.-China Educational Exchange is working with a number of universities and schools in China to create summer English programs. So far 12 programs have been set up in such places as Suzhou, Guangzhou, Nanning (Guangxi), Beijing, Shanghai, Hunan, Shenyang and Tianjin. More sites are being created. Summer teachers will receive a salary, free housing (and free meals at some sites), but will be responsible for their own airfare. These opportunities are particularly suited for people who plan to travel to China irrespective of teaching.
