We'd like to remind readers that the responses to queries are usually best posted to the individual asking the question. That individual is then strongly encouraged to post a summary to the list. Subject: Lexical Database

I'm looking for an English lexical database that classifies words by subsets
of parts of speech. Rather than simply 'verbs,' I need 'unaccusative verbs'
and 'unergative verbs,' etc. The goal is for the classifications to group
by possible specifiers and complements for syntactic analysis.

Thanks in advance,
Naomi Eckmann

I am seeking Kannada learning materials suitable for an adult with rudimentary
knowledge of the language (no reading) and ready access to a native speaker, and
whose own native language is American English.
