    Dear linguists,

We're proud to present the first edition of Onomasiology Online ( http://www.onomasiology.de ). It contains the following articles:

HILKE ELSEN The Structure of Meaning: Semasiological and Onomasiological Aspects of Development

Also, the bibliography of onomasiological works has been enlarged and a list of onomasiological sources (linguistic atlasses and dictionaries) has now been included on our website.

Looking forward to more articles to come in, Joachim Grzega and Alfred Bammesberger, editors

The Netherlands Graduate School of Linguistics (LOT - a cooperation of the research institutes UiL-OTS, CLS, ACLC and HIL) organizes a postgraduate Winter School again.

The winterschool will take place from January 15 - 26, 2001, in Amsterdam.

The program offers eighteen different Ph.D. courses of different levels (introductory and advanced), taught by various well-known professors.

The courses are taught in English, and most of them do not presuppose any prior knowledge of Dutch.

The full program - containing detailed course descriptions - is available on the web:

    http://wwwlot.let.uu.nl/winterschool2001

We welcome Ph.D. students from other institutes. Enrolment forms are also available on the web, both for registration and for lodging. Deadlines are soon. Questions can be addressed to lotlet.uu.nl
