Applications are invited for the post of German Language Lecturer at
the Department of Asian and European Languages,Faculty of Languages
and Linguistics, University of Malaya. To begin May/June 2002.
Responsibilities will include teaching German Language courses and
German Linguistics at undergraduate level.
Preference will be given to candidates with:
- a Master degree in German Language or Literature or equivalent
- experience teaching German as a Foreign Language
- knowledge of English
Salary on the scale: 2,148 - 4,544 Malaysian Ringgit per month
Other benefits include: a monthly Civil Service allowance (170
Malaysian Ringgit), free housing or a monthly housing allowance (700
Malaysian Ringgit), free medical services, travel expenses to Malaysia
and gratuities amounting to 17.5% of the annual salary at the end of
the contract.
The successful candidate will be offered a one-year contract with the
possibility of extension at the end of the contract year.
