    The British and American Studies (BAS), an international bachelor's degree programme of the Faculty of Liberal Arts, Thammasat University, Bangkok, invites applications from highly-qualified candidates for four full-time faculty positions in at least one of the following areas of specialsation:

    * Education (e.g. language teaching, ESL/EFL, applied linguistics) * British or American studies in the fields of literature, history, arts, media studies, economics or political science.

    Applicants must be native speakers of English and are anticipated to have an excellent academic record, preferably with teaching experience, from accredited institutions. Compensation base (all-inclusive) is classified into: 30,000 baht per month for BA holders, 35,000 baht per month for MA holders and 40,000 per month for PhD holders. For BA holders, additional certificates or diplomas attract higher salaries. The contract is renewable on a yearly basis.

    Applications should include a cover letter, curriculum vitae, together with full details of publications (if any), teaching/administrative position, copies of transcripts as well as certificates/diplomas and three letters of recommendation. Only short-listed candidates will be notified, soon after which interview sessions will be arranged (in case of overseas applications, conference calls are also possible). Two successful candidates are expected to start teaching from 5 August 2002 and the other two from 6 January 2003. Initial enquiries should be sent to songthamtu.ac.th
