    Dear Colleagues,

    I should be very grateful for help to trace the SOURCE of something I read casually many years ago (in fact, in the 80s, prior to deciding to do linguistics) and which I am now interested in. I read it in France, in French. It was the phonological concept of sounds interferring in the "territories" of each other--i.e. the overlapping of phonic values of distinctive phonemes. The exact French term used by the linguist was "LES ZONES DE DISPERSION". Whether this term belongs to the French/Francophone author or he/she also took it from an earlier source, I will appreciate any lead as to getting to the source(s) of the concept.

    An online experiment investigating native-speaker reactions to Dutch English

    I am working on a research project for Utrecht University, in the Netherlands. My objective is to determine how native speakers of English react to English spoken with a foreign accent. I have made an online experiment, which takes about 15 minutes to complete.
