Qs: Prescriptive/Descriptive Course, Edo Material

Editor for this issue: Karen Milligan <karenlinguistlist.org>

We'd like to remind readers that the responses to queries are usually best posted to the individual asking the question. That individual is then strongly encouraged to post a summary to the list. This policy was instituted to help control the huge volume of mail on LINGUIST; so we would appreciate your cooperating with it whenever it seems appropriate.

In addition to posting a summary, we'd like to remind people that it is usually a good idea to personally thank those individuals who have taken the trouble to respond to the query.

I am planning to offer a course starting in January called Prescriptive vs. descriptive grammar. I haven't offered it in a while, and wondered if anyone has offered anything like this recently, since I want to update my sources. The audience is advanced undergraduates (in English and in linguistics) and grad students (from English). If you have a syllabus to share, or suggestions for readings, please contact me at randallneu.edu.

    Hallo Everybody,

Im looking for some grammar or learning method for the Nigerian Language of Edo. There is a site on the web were they talk about a grammar and a method, but the e-mail addresses they give as reference don't work; is someone able to help me, to send me material to learn Edo or explain me how can I get those tools? Thank you very much
