The Department of French at Dalhousie University invites applications
for a full-time tenure-track appointment as Lecturer/Assistant
Professor (commencing July 1, 2003) in French Linguistics, with the
field of specialization open. This position is subject to budgetary
approval. Candidates should have a Ph.D. or Ph.D. in hand, preferably
strong research programme, teaching experience and background directly
related to teaching responsibilities. The selected candidate will be
expected to teach at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. The
nature of the courses to be taught requires the candidate to be a
native or near-native speaker of French. The salary will be
commensurate with qualifications and experience. The deadline for
applications is December 31, 2002. Applications, including a C.V.,
evidence of teaching competence, three letters of recommendation to be
forwarded directly by the referee to the Department, and any other

candidatures au rang de professeur adjoint pour un poste en
linguistique fran�aise. La date d'entr�e en fonction sera le 1er
juillet 2003. Le domaine de sp�cialisation est ouvert. Ce poste est
sujet � l'approbation budg�taire. Les qualifications requises sont :
un doctorat obtenu avant l'entr�e en fonction, un solide dossier de
recherche et une exp�rience p�dagogique directement li�e aux charges
�ventuelles d'enseignement.
Le candidat retenu dispensera des cours aux niveaux du baccalaur�at,
de la ma�trise et du doctorat. La nature des cours � enseigner exige
que le candidat poss�de une ma�trise parfaite de la langue fran�aise.
Le salaire sera d�termin� en fonction des qualifications et de
