    2003 LSA Institute, June 30 - August 8, 2003

    Sponsored by The Linguistic Society of America & The Department of Linguistics and Germanic, Slavic, Asian and African Languages, Michigan State University

    Theme: Language, Mind & Culture

    Nearly 90 courses in all areas of linguistics, taught by nearly 100 of the world's best-known linguists, will be offered at the 2003 LSA Institute at Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan. Seven introductory courses run the entire 6 weeks; the remainder are offered in 3-week blocks from June 30th to July 18th or from July 21st to August 8th. There are both introductory and advanced courses in the 3-week sessions, and all courses are open to graduate and undergraduate students and Institute Affiliates (nonstudents). A variety of concurrent events (workshops, conferences) will be held in conjunction with the regular coursework of the Institute, and the Sapir, Collitz, and Forum Lecture Series include
