    Department of French and Italian College of Liberal Arts, University of Minnesota, Twin Cities

    Assistant Professor (full-time, nine-month, tenure-track), commencing 08/25/03. Specialization open in any field of French Studies (e.g., literature, linguistics, culture) which complements research of current faculty. (see website at http://cla.umn.edu/frit/faculty/index.htm )

    Appointee will be expected to maintain an active research program; teach courses in French (e.g., literature, linguistics, culture, language) at the undergraduate and graduate level; advise students; and contribute service in the Department and College. Ph.D. in French or related field in hand by 08/25/03, teaching experience, native or near-native ability in French and English required. Subspecialty in Italian Studies a plus. Salary competitive. Members of the search committee will be attending the MLA Convention.
