    Description: The University of Connecticut is committed to a strong program in contemporary generative syntactic theory. The Department of Linguistics anticipates one, possibly two, tenured and/or tenure-track positions in Syntax to begin in the fall semester of 2003, at the Associate and/or Assistant Professor level. Successful candidates should interact well with faculty in language acquisition, formal semantics, and phonology. Applicants should be prepared to teach in the area of their specialization at the graduate level, as well as more general linguistics courses at the undergraduate level.

    Send a complete dossier (application letter, curriculum vitae, work samples, description of courses prepared to teach, teaching evaluations) and at least three letters of recommendation to:
