    DIVISION OF HUMANITIES

    Faculty Position

    The Division of Humanities provides a wide range of general education to undergraduates and advanced training in MA, MPhil and PhD degree programs in literature, linguistics, history and anthropology, and philosophy and religion.

    Applications are invited for an assistant/associate professor appointment in Chinese linguistics with a historical emphasis and a strong theoretical orientation. Preference will be given to specialization on topics such as lexicology, and interaction between phonology and syntax. Familiarity with the classical Chinese corpus is highly desirable.

    Salary is highly competitive. Starting salary will be commensurate with experience. Fringe benefits include medical/dental benefits and annual leave. Assistance in housing will also be provided where applicable. Appointment to begin July 2003.
