We'd like to remind readers that the responses to queries are usually best posted to the individual asking the question. That individual is then strongly encouraged to post a summary to the list. This policy was instituted to help control the huge volume of mail on LINGUIST; so we would appreciate your cooperating with it whenever it seems appropriate.

In addition to posting a summary, we'd like to remind people that it is usually a good idea to personally thank those individuals who have taken the trouble to respond to the query.

As part of my final exam, I am writing an essay on a thesaurus of Russian association norms. Can anybody recommend me literature that deals with the analysis of association norms (e.g. concerning questions like what do association norms tell us about society, what do they tell us about the system of language in general (i.e. grammaire, phraselogisms), and psycholinguisic experiments)? In addition I`d like to get information about existing psycholinguistic texts that deal with the phenomenon of association, since Ive found only a few, older books that describe associations more detailed.

Does anybody know of a language where "tasi" means 'happy', 'delighted', or 'enthusiastic' ? The form might be "taasi", "tazi", etc.

    Thanks!
