Qs: Undergraduate Ling Course, Bibliography
Editor for this issue: Renee Galvis <reneelinguistlist.org>
We'd like to remind readers that the responses to queries are usually
best posted to the individual asking the question. That individual is
then strongly encouraged to post a summary to the list. This policy was
instituted to help control the huge volume of mail on LINGUIST; so we
would appreciate your cooperating with it whenever it seems appropriate.
In addition to posting a summary, we'd like to remind people that it
is usually a good idea to personally thank those individuals who have
taken the trouble to respond to the query.

Subject: Undergrad Ling courses as Science Requirement?
Dear linguists,
Our department is the process of getting approval for a undergraduate
linguistics course that would satisfy the University's General
Education Science requirement. The course is called 'The Science of
Linguistics' and is essentially an intro to linguistics course. In
order to make our case stronger, we would like to know if linguistics
courses in other universities satisfy a GenEd Science requirement. If
your department offers a course that does, let us know what the course
is. I will post a summary. Thanks in advance.

Subject: Bibliography
Dear Linguists:
I'm seeking a bibliography on the history and development of
morphophonemics, morphophonemic notation, and morphophonemic analysis.
Phonological theory seems to have moved on beyond this method of
analysis and there is no information on it in the few sources
available to me.
Thank you.
