    The School of Linguistics and Applied Language Studies at Carleton University invites applications for a tenure-track position in theoretical linguistics at the rank of Assistant Professor, to start August 1, 2002. Appointees may be asked to teach courses at the undergraduate level in any area of general linguistics offered by the School.

    Appointees may be considered for a cross appointment in Cognitive Science, where they may also supervise students at the Ph.D. level in their area of specialisation. A Ph.D. in linguistics and evidence of strong potential in teaching and research are required.
