Qs: Inuit Markers, Natural Speech Filter
Editor for this issue: Renee Galvis <reneelinguistlist.org>
We'd like to remind readers that the responses to queries are usually
best posted to the individual asking the question. That individual is
then strongly encouraged to post a summary to the list. This policy was
instituted to help control the huge volume of mail on LINGUIST; so we
would appreciate your cooperating with it whenever it seems appropriate.
In addition to posting a summary, we'd like to remind people that it
is usually a good idea to personally thank those individuals who have
taken the trouble to respond to the query.

Dear Linguist:
Can anyone help with references or information in regard to the
supposed recent appearance of a relative clause marker in Inuit? I
recall mention that such markers were non-existent prior to the
development of a written form of the language, c. 50 years ago, but
have been unable to find the source.

Subject: Emotional Filter for Natural Speech
Hello!
We are a research institute in computer graphics and would need a hint
in speech transformation. We are looking for tools that transform a
natural speech sentence (e.g. *.wav or *.aiff), spoken in a neutral
voice, into an emotional voice, e.g an angry or sad voice. Does
someone know someone who has such a tool?
Many thanks!
