    Meeting Description:

    The aim of this workshop is to discuss some central issues concerning the interface of ''core grammar'' with pragmatics, bringing together the perspectives of various subdisciplines in the area of Cognitive Science.

    Much recent work in theoretical linguistics has tried to integrate polarity phenomena and related issues in the structure of Noun Phrases across languages with various aspects of pragmatics (such as the ways in which implicatures are computed); in parallel, these and similar phenomena are being studied experimentally in acquisition, pathology, processing and reasoning.     Dates: June 18-20

    Location: The workshop will take place at the University of Milan-Bicocca, Department of Psychology, building U6, Piazza dell'Ateneo Nuovo 1, 20126 Milan. University of Milan-Bicocca is located at the northern edge of the city, pretty far away from the city center, but easily connected by public transportation.

    Registration: There is no registration fee or any other kind of formal registration. However, we would appreciate if people who plan to attend let us know by sending an email to francesca.panzeriunimib.it.
