Meeting Description:
The workshop will address the problem of accounting for the diversity
of meanings associated with the Russian imperfective verbform. Is it
possible to derive all possible readings of the imperfective from one
underlying semantic invariant by means of an elaborate pragmatic
theory? Or should at least some cases better be treated as instances
of grammatical polysemy?
