1st Call for Papers
for the
8th FORUM FOR IBERIAN STUDIES
on
Bilingualism in the Iberian Peninsula
Faculty of Medieval and Modern Languages and Literature

The aim of this one-day conference is to discuss bilingualism in the
Iberian Peninsula. We want to examine, from an interdisciplinary
perspective, bilingual settings and occurrences and their significance
in the different linguistic communities of Spain and its borderlands.
Contributions from scholars working in areas such as bilingual
studies, sociolinguistics, psycholinguistics, translation, and
cultural studies are all welcome.
We invite both established academics and graduate students to submit
proposals for papers on this topic. Papers should be thirty minutes
long (including ten minutes for questions and discussion) and may be
considered for publication. Those wishing to present papers should
send a title, a bibliography, and an abstract of not more than 300
words, outlining the proposed topic and technical requirements. Please
include your name, affiliation, and contact details.
