    This special session will be taking place during the Western Conference on Linguistics. With invited speakers Violeta Demonte and Shana Poplack, abstracts treating Romance Languages are encouraged in all linguistics fields.

    ABSTRACTS Abstracts are invited for 20-minute talks (plus 10 minutes of discussion) on any aspect of theoretical linguistics. Abstracts are also invited for a poster session. Please specify all the sessions for which you would like to be considered.

    Submissions are limited to one individual and one joint abstract per author. All abstracts should be in English, and submitted as attachments, in PDF format, to the following email address: wecolusc.edu. The subject of the message should specify ''Abstract'', and the body should include the following information: author's name(s), affiliation and e-mail address title of abstract area of linguistics (syntax, phonology, psycholinguistics, computational linguistics, etc.) Abstracts should be limited to one page (using 1'' margins on all sides and 11pt font size) with an optional additional page containing examples and references. Non-standard fonts and software should be avoided and all fonts should be embedded in the PDF document. For information regarding submitting abstracts by snail mail, please email the committee at wecolusc.edu. The papers presented at WECOL �Euro(tm)04 will be eligible for publication in the official proceedings of the conference.
