The Faculty of Humanities/Department of Linguistics invites
applications for the position of a full professor (German W3 level) in
Romance Linguistics
Candidates are expected to have a focus on at least one of the core
domains of linguistic theory: phonology, morphology, syntax or
semantics, and be able to cover the history of the Romance languages.
Applicants should hold a Ph.D. and a ''habilitation'' or equivalent
accomplishments in terms of publications. Initial appointment will be
for three years, after which tenure can be given without further
application procedures. Exceptions in favor of initial full tenure are
possible, especially for candidates from abroad or from outside the
university system.
