The research project 'Representation and Automatic Acquisition of Linguistic
Data' at the University of Tübingen, Germany is searching for a computational
linguist.
Required skills:
- M.A. or Ph.D. (or equivalent) in Computational Linguistics
- research experience in machine learning or statistical approaches to CL
- programming experience

- expertise in anaphora and coreference resolution

The research project is part of the Research Center (Sonderforschungsbereich
441) 'Linguistic Data Structures' funded by the German Research Council.

The position is at the rank of 'Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter' (M.A. or
equivalent degree required, Ph.D. preferred). The earliest starting date for the
position is January 1, 2005, funding is available until December 2008.
Applicants who have already completed their Ph.D. will be considered for
full-time employment (BAT IIa), applicants with an M.A. will be expected to work
50 % of a full-time appointment on project duties (BAT IIa/2), with the
remaining work hours available for independent Ph.D. research. The full-time
salary amounts to approximately 40.000 Euro (salary and benefits) per year. The
exact salary amount varies depending on age and marital status.
