I'm doing Honours at Melbourne University and my thesis topic is concerned with the use of adjectives as post-head modifiers of verbs instead of adverbs (the dropping of the -ly adverb suffix). I'm exploring where this process occurs syntactically, when it occurs socially and in which mediums it occurs (eg. speech, tv, email etc). I am hoping for any useful references of previous research in this area.
