Meeting Description:

DiGS is an international conference, meeting every second year in Europe or America since 1990 and bringing together scholars from many countries interested in the new and rapidly growing field of formal historical syntax. Some of the main topics usually dealt with include the theory of morphosyntactic change, parameter setting and resetting, the use of syntax to reconstruct the history and prehistory of languages.

Abstracts are invited for 30-minute presentations. Abstracts should not exceed 2 pages in length, including examples and references, written in Times New Roman 12. Paper size should be A4, with 2.5 cm margins on all four sides.

Submission is only possible in electronic form. Authors are requested to send an e-mail message to digs9units.it, with two copies of their abstract attached (in .pdf or Word format), one anonymous and one with author's name, affiliation and e-mail address.

The final program will be announced by february 28th 2006
