Description:

The Department of Linguistics at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, has an opening for a Visiting Assistant Professor of Linguistics, in the areas of phonetics or phonology for the academic year 2006-2007 (August 16th 2006-August 15th 2007). Preference will be given to applicants who can also teach in a second area, especially syntax or historical linguistics. Candidates should be prepared to teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The candidates should provide evidence of excellence in teaching. Candidates must have the Ph.D. in hand by August 16, 2006. This position is open until filled. Initial review of the applications will begin May 31st, 2006. For full consideration, CV, three publications, and three letters of reference must be received by this date.
