GASLA 2007 Call for Papers and Posters

The 9th biannual Generative Approaches to Second Language Acquisition Conference is inviting abstracts for its meeting, to be held at the University of Iowa, May 18-20, 2007.

Plenary speakers:

Robert Bley-Vroman, University of Hawaii

Laurent Dekydtspotter, Indiana University

Julia Herschensohn, University of Washington

Paper and poster proposals on any topic in generative second language acquisition are invited. New: The central theme of the conference will be The Fundamental Difference Hypothesis: Two Decades Later. A panel discussion on the topic will be held. Proposals for papers are solicited that specifically address the special topic.



GASLA 2007 Call for Papers and Posters

The 9th biannual Generative Approaches to Second Language Acquisition Conference is inviting abstracts for its meeting, to be held at the University of Iowa, May 18-20, 2007.

Paper and poster proposals on any topic in generative second language acquisition are invited. Proposals for papers are solicited that specifically address the special topic.

Paper presentations will be 20 minutes long with 10 minutes for questions. Please indicate on your abstract whether you wish your submission to be considered for one category only (panel paper, regular paper, or poster, please specify) or for all categories. Abstracts should not exceed 500 words. Please submit your anonymous abstract as an e-mail attachment (PDF or Word format) to: gasla9uiowa.edu. No more than one single-authored and one joint abstract per person should be submitted. In the body of the e-mail message, include: (1) the title of the paper, (2) name and affiliation of the author(s), and (3) the first author's postal and e-mail addresses. Repeat the title of your attached 500-word abstract. Electronic submission of abstracts is required. In exceptional circumstances, please send 6 copies (one with author information and five anonymous) by regular mail.

The deadline for submission of abstracts is December 1, 2006.Notification about acceptance will go out by January 30, 2007.
