I am currently investigating suitable microphone types for field recordingof 3/4 year olds for acoustic analysis. Based on the previous studiesI've reviewed so far, I haven't found a consensus as to the suitability offixed omnidirectional microphones or radio lapel microphones, so am lookingfor suggestions from phoneticians with prior experience recording children.

Thanks very much in advance. I'll post a summary of the results.

Hello. I'm wondering if anyone knows where I can see a list of the mostspoken languages in Columbia. I'm curious to see how many speakers of Paezthere are and how that compares to the numbers of speakers of otherlanguages. I've already spent a long time on Google trying to find such alist, but although I found many lists detailing what languages are spoken,I have yet to find any itemized list of languages organized by the amountof speakers.

I sure would appreciate any help!

Thanks-
