Subject: The Syntax & Semantics of Modified DPs

Dear all, I am working on topicalization of quantified DPs in BrazilianPortuguese (BP) and I have already noticed that a topicalized DPs is okayif it contains a modifier, as in (1) and (2):

(1) Every boy that I meet, you would like to meet (English)(2) Todo menino bonito, a Maria quer namorar (BP) all boy cute, the Maria wants date-Inf “Every cute boy, Maria wants to data”

Thus, I would appreciate if you could tell if there is any research showingother syntactic and semantic differences in behavior between DPs with andwithout internal modification.

Thank you,Carol AguiarUniversity of Brasilia/Unicamp, Brazil
