The Challenge of Arabic for NLP/MT

London, Monday 23 October 2006

The Machine Translation SIG of the British Computer Society will be holding a one day Conference on the subject of the Challenge of Arabic for Natural Language Processing and Machine Translation in London, UK on Monday 23 October 2006.

A full list of the papers to be presented can be found on our website at http://www.bcs-mt.org.uk which will be updated with further information from time to time.

The Keynote speaker will be Prof. Anne de Roeck of The Open University UK.

The Conference will be held in the excellent meeting facilities of The British Computer Society in central London.

It is not possible to announce the fees for attendance at this stage but they are expected to be not more than £50 with generous reductions for students. Anyone with an interest in attending who registers this interest informally before the 12 September will receive a 10% discount on their fees when registering officially from Tuesday 12 September when the fees will be known. To register an interest before then without commitment to attend please e-mail David Wigg at wiggjdnationalfinder.com. Please provide a clear subject line to avoid the message being dumped as spam. However, requests will be acknowledged.
