Description:

The University of Zurich invites applications for a Professorship (Full or Associate) in English Language, to be filled by 1 February 2008 or later. Applicants should have a demonstrated competence in diachronic English linguistics; possible specializations include history of English, corpus linguistics, text- or discourse linguistics, language of the media. Substantial publications beyond the doctoral thesis and an adequate command of German are prerequisites.
