Dear Linguistlist members,

I’m conducting a cross-language priming study with English-Urdu/Arabicbilinguals. To make an appropriate stimuli selection I need to control forEnglish and Urdu/Arabic word frequency and the association strength. I haveword frequency dictionary of English (Kucera & Francis, 1967) andassociation strength database of English (South Florida word normsdatabase). However, I don’t have these sources for Urdu/Arabic. Theinternet and library search did not provide any results.

If anyone knows where I can access word frequency and association strengthnorms for Urdu and/or Arabic, please let me know.
