Dear colleagues,

We have just learned that our dear friend and colleague, Peter Ladefoged, has died. Apparently he died from natural causes in London while traveling to or from India for fieldwork.

As you probably all know, Jenny and Peter share an email address: oldfogeyucla.edu> .

You may also know that Peter turned 80 in September, which we celebrated at the October Acoustical Society meeting. The website from that event is a starting point for a tribute to him:
