Subject: Token Frequency

Dear colleagues,

Could somebody help me locating the following reference?

In the nineties I wrote down from a discussion on the importance of tokenfrequency for the choice of basic vocabulary for early phases of foreignlanguage teaching the comment that words like ''tooth brush'' should betaught early, although its token frequency in running texts is not veryhigh. Since I think that this can be used as an argument in otherdiscussions on the relevance of token frequency, I would be grateful forany relevant reference.

Many thanks in advanceWolfgang U. Dressler
