Meeting Description:

This conference will tackle different aspects of learning written language using four topics:1. Written words identification.2. Written words or text comprehension.3. Graphical gesture production.4. Orthographic production. Results of the researches leaded until now allow us to have a more precise view of the processings involved but one can however regret the fact that they most of the time stay apart and that they are not interested in the way the specifities of the writing (grapho-phonological, morphological, syntactical...) interact into the setting of these habilities. This conference will be an opportunity to bring a new point of view on the maner the learners learn written language.

They could address children or adults populations learning a first or a second language. Studies lead on atypical populations (auditive deficients, intelectual deficients, motor deficients, people presenting troubles in learning written words) would also be appreciated.
