Auditory-visual speech production and perception by human and machine is aninterdisciplinary and cross-linguistic field which has attracted speechscientists, cognitive psychologists, phoneticians, computational engineers, and researchers in language learning studies. Since the inaugural workshopin Bonas in 1995, Auditory-Visual Speech Processing workshops have beenorganised on a regular basis (see an overview at the avisa website). Inline with previous meetings, this conference will consist of a mixture ofregular presentations (both posters and oral), and lectures by invitedspeakers. All presentations will be plenary.
Submission of papers are invited in any areas of auditory-visual processing, including:
- multimodal processing of spoken events- cross-linguistic studies of auditory-visual speech processing- developmental studies of auditory-visual speech processing- gesture and expression animation- modelling of facial gestures- auditory-visual speech synthesis- audiovisual prosody- neurophysiology and neuropsychology of audition and vision- machine recognition of auditory-visual speech- human and machine models of auditory-visual integration- auditory-visual scene analysis
