Description:
Applicants should have an international reputation for outstanding research and a distinguished publication record in an area of Applied Linguistics which may include second language acquisition, bilingualism, sociolinguistics or multiculturalism. Applicants will be expected to contribute to the teaching and research activity of the section which places special emphasis on interdisciplinary studies.
The successful candidate will provide academic leadership and contribute to the development of the School. Applicants should have a PhD in Linguistics or a closely related area, and extensive experience of administration, teaching and research in a university context and supervision of PhD students to completion.
