Description:

The Department of Linguistics at the University of Calgary is seeking to fill an 8-month limited-term position for the 2007-2008 academic year. The primary area of specialization we seek is phonetics. While ability to teach a course on some aspect of the aboriginal languages of Canada would be considered an asset, other secondary specializations are also valued. Duties will include the teaching of an undergraduate introductory phonetics course, and an undergraduate advanced phonetics course. A full teaching load for this position is four half courses. Teaching duties will be assigned by the department head. Additional teaching for additional remuneration may be available in the Spring and Summer terms (May-August) but this is not a condition of employment.

For more information on the department, please see our web site at www.fp.ucalgary.ca/Ling. Please submit your applications (cover letter, c.v., and names of referees) to the address below.
