The Department is part of the School of English, one of the leading centres for teaching and research in Language and Literature in the UK, receiving a grade of five in the last Research Assessment Exercise and a highly positive Independent Evaluation of Teaching in 2005.

Lecturer in Linguistics

£31,525 per annum

We are seeking a Lecturer in Linguistics, with teaching and research strengths in Phonetics / Phonology and Sociolinguistics. The post holder will provide undergraduate teaching mainly in connection with the Phonetics and Phonology modules currently offered, and contribute as appropriate to MA teaching in a specialist area. The ability to teach across a range of areas of Linguistics will be an advantage.
