Description:

The Department of English Language, Literature and Linguistics at Providence University in Shalu, Taichung County, Taiwan, R.O.C., invites applications for the following position, as Assistant Professor or above:

Ph.D. holders in linguistics or TESOL to teach Syntax or TESOL courses at undergraduate and graduate levels. The successful applicant will teach specialized courses in his/her own field in the Graduate Program, but general English courses will also be among the courses taught on the undergraduate level in the English Department.

The position requires a doctoral degree in hand (or, at the latest, by the position's starting date: August 1, 2006). Required documents for the application: cover letter, specifying the position(s) being applied for; curriculum vitae, diploma, official transcript, three letters of recommendation, and an abstract of the dissertation or a representative publication. Foreign applicants should also include one copy of their passport's main page. All application materials must be received no later than March 20, 2006. Possible interview dates will be in April.
