Description:

Yale University expects to make a one-year visiting appointment for 2006-2007, at the level of Lecturer or (in the case of someone who holds an appointment at another university) Visiting Assistant Professor. The appointee will be expected to teach two courses per semester and to participate in the supervision of undergraduate and graduate students as appropriate. Courses to be taught should include Introduction to Syntax and (preferably) Introduction to Historical Linguistics; additional courses will be arranged on the basis of the appointee's research background and interests.

Candidates should be assured of having completed the Ph.D. by September, 2006 at the latest. Prior teaching experience will be an advantage.
