Meeting description:

PTLC2007 is concerned with the teaching and learning of phonetics in all its guises. This year's meeting is jointly organised by UCL, the University of Westminster, and the Subject Centre for Language, Linguistics and Area Studies. It will take place from midday Friday 24th August 2007 to early evening Sunday 26th August 2007 at UCL.

PTLC2007 Phonetics Teaching and Learning Conference

Extension of deadline and announcement of a new session on Student Learning Experience

PTLC2007 will take place at UCL in London from August 24th until Sunday August 26th 2007. The conference is organised jointly by UCL, The University of Westminster and the Subject Centre for Language, Linguistics and Area Studies. Papers are invited on the teaching and learning of phonetics in all its guises.

The deadline has now been extended to 1st June. Full papers must be submitted by this date. For further information, please see: http://www.phon.ucl.ac.uk/ptlc/index.html

New: A session of the conference will be dedicated to presentations by undergraduate and postgraduate students on their learning experiences on phonetics courses. Four bursaries up to 200GBP each will be available for papers accepted for presentation. The deadline for these papers is 15th June.

The areas covered by the conference will include: - general phonetics - phonetics for speech therapy and audiology - phonetics for the performing arts - phonetics for language teaching - forensic phonetics - the use of IT and distance learning in phonetics

Important dates: Complete paper submission: 1st June 2007 (15th June for papers on Student Learning Experience) Decision on acceptance: 1st July 2007 (2nd July for papers on Student Learning Experience) Revisions deadline: 16th July 2007

All papers will be reviewed anonymously by at least two members of the international scientific committee.

Extension of abstract submission deadline
