Meeting Description
The inaugural meeting of the Arizona Linguistics Circle will be held October 19-21, 2007, on the University of Arizona campus. The conference aims to provide a forum for presenting research in three areas of linguistics: theoretical linguistics, experimental linguistics and Native American linguistics.
Abstracts are invited for 20-minute talks (followed by the 10-minute discussion/question period on any aspect of theoretical linguistics, experimental linguistics and Native American linguistics. Submissions are limited to one individual and one joint abstract per author.

Submission Guidelines
When submitting your abstract, please specify one session you would like to be considered for: theoretical linguistics, experimental linguistics and Native American linguistics. Abstracts should be anonymous in the PDF form, limited to one page (with 1 inch margins on all sides and 11 font size) with the optional second page for examples and references. Any non-standard fonts should be embedded in the PDF document.
Abstracts should include up to five keywords after the title, including subfield and language (family), in order to help us match the abstracts submitted to reviewers familiar with the topics discussed in the abstracts.
Selected papers from the conference presentation are scheduled to be published in the Proceedings of the First Meeting of the Arizona Linguistics Circle.
