Eastern Kentucky University invites applicants for a tenure-track position,French, to begin 2010-2011 academic year. Generalist committed to excellentteaching and research. Must be prepared to teach all levels ofundergraduate French language, culture, and literature. Interest in onlineand/or distance teaching opportunities encouraged. Will be expected toparticipate in promoting the French program and in various departmentalactivities.

Responsibilities include a 4/4 teaching load ranging from introductorycourses to intermediate level language and literature. Native ornear-native speaker, and a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in Frenchrequired. Ph.D. preferred, ABD considered. Degree(s) must be from aregionally (SACS, Middle States, North Central, etc.) accreditedinstitution and/or a recognized international university. Appropriateproficiency in oral and written English required.
