We are pleased to announce the founding of the Association for LaboratoryPhonology. The purpose of the Association is to promote the scientificstudy of all aspects of the phonetics and phonology of spoken and signedlanguages through scholarly exchange across disciplines. The association isan international body open to scholars world-wide, and is committed to theadvancement and diffusion of knowledge on the phonetics and phonology ofall human languages.

The Association hosts the bi-annual international conference on LaboratoryPhonology, and membership in the Association includes subscription to thenew journal Laboratory Phonology, published by Mouton de Gruyter.
