Description:

Boston University seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Spanish andLinguistics to teach courses in the linguistic analysis of Spanish and ingeneral linguistics, beginning September 2011, pending budgetary approval.Requirements include (1) a Ph.D. in Linguistics, with expertise in at leastone of the core areas of linguistic theory (phonetics, phonology,morphology, syntax, or semantics) and teaching/research specialization inan area of Spanish linguistics (interest in Hispanic Bilingualism orSpanish in the Americas would be especially welcome); (2) demonstratedexcellence in research and in undergraduate and graduate level teaching andadvising; (3) native or near native proficiency in both Spanish andEnglish.
