Lodz Papers in Pragmatics (LPP) is a peer-reviewed interdisciplinaryjournal released biannually. It seeks to bring together various linguisticdisciplines, notably: pragmatics, semantics, semiotics, philosophy oflanguage, sociolinguistics, neurolinguistics, psycholinguistics, discourseanalysis, translation, and computational linguistics. LPP is committed topublishing excellent theoretical and empirical research focused on broadlyconceptualised human communication, both in everyday interactions and inthe media, whether spoken or written, and whether institutional orinterpersonal. We invite papers addressing all manner of topics and issues,for instance: speech acts, neo-Gricean and post-Gricean pragmatics,(im)politeness, political discourse, metaphor and metonymy, representationand discursive dimensions of identity, multimodal advertising, gender, andhumour. The list is by no means exhaustive.
