Applications are invited for this permanent post based in the Centre forEnglish Language Education (CELE). The successful candidate will beexpected to design, convene and teach on a range of credit-bearing courseswhich are taught or being developed in the Centre, and be an activeresearcher specialising in the area of spoken English. In addition to holding a PhD in applied linguistics or a related area withrelevance to spoken discourse in English, candidates must be able todemonstrate that they have experience of undergraduate teaching and aproven track record of published research. By negotiation, this post mayentail periods of teaching and/or research at the University's overseascampuses.

Salary will be within the range £32,620 - £43,840 per annum, depending onskills and experience (salary can progress to £50,822 per annum, subject toperformance). The post is available from 4 January 2011.
