The journal Language Dynamics and Change (LDC) seeks submissions for itsinaugural issue, scheduled to appear mid-2011. Articles having passedreview will be posted online as soon as they have been processed, i.e.before the first issue proper, if possible.LDC covers both new and traditional aspects of the study of languagechange. Work on any language or language family is welcomed, as long as itbears on topics that are also of theoretical interest. A particular focusis on new developments in the field arising from the accumulation ofextensive databases of dialect variation and typological distributions,spoken corpora, parallel texts, and comparative lexicons, which allow forthe application of new types of quantitative approaches to diachroniclinguistics.
