Description:

The Roxelyn and Richard Pepper Department of Communication Sciences andDisorders at Northwestern University is searching for a faculty member, atthe rank of Assistant Professor, with a promising or established researchprogram focused on disorders, learning, acquisition, and/or processing ofchild language, with a vision to pursue a program of translationalresearch. Areas of particular interest include, but are not limited to,Specific Language Impairment, Autism, Down syndrome, speech-motordisorders, cochlear implants, and emerging literacy. This nine-monthtenure-track position is based on the Evanston campus.

Preferred starting date: September 1, 2011.

Duties: Development of a fundable program of research, teach courses inchild language disorders and related topics, direct student research, andprovide academic advising.

Qualifications: Earned Ph.D. required. The candidate must have interestsand experience required to teach courses in the Department and developinterdisciplinary research affiliations with other units of the University.

Salary: Competitive, depending on qualifications and experience.
