Required: PhD in Linguistics or related discipline; evidence of ability tomaintain ongoing, high quality research and publications in syntax;evidence of successful college level teaching.Desired: Demonstrated interest or experience in the linguistic analysis ofIndigenous languages.

Teaching load is 2/2 for tenure-track faculty with a significant researchagenda. Teaching opportunities are at undergraduate, Master's, and PhDlevels. Arizona State University is a large metropolitan university withlinguists housed in various departments; the appointment will be in theDepartment of English (URL above). The candidate will contribute toteaching in existing programs as well as help develop new programs.
